The Cerebral Palsy Association of Colorado Springs (CPACS) is funded almost entirely by private donations and community fundraising events. Though we are occasionally awarded grants, most of our income comes from individual members of the Colorado Springs community. Each piece of equipment in our lending closet was also donated by individuals or families who no longer need it.
CPACS is committed to providing financial assistance and other resources for individuals with cerebral palsy (CP), which includes helping them or their families purchase adaptive equipment, loaning equipment from our lending closet, providing financial assistance for cerebral palsy treatment, hosting inclusive community events, and more.
We are able to offer these resources because of the amazing support that we receive from our community, but we want to reach even more individuals and families and provide these services on a larger scale.
We hold a number of fundraisers throughout the year to raise money that we can put toward our financial assistance program and hosting community events, but every dollar donated makes a concrete difference in the lives of individuals and their families living with cerebral palsy.
We are committed to helping any individual or family that submits a request for financial assistance. We want to send more adults and children with cerebral palsy to summer camps and recreational programs. We also want to hold community events so families and individuals with cerebral palsy can build support networks and know they are not alone.
With your help, we want to reach more individuals and their families in the Colorado Springs region. If you are looking to donate to a nonprofit, we hope you will consider partnering with CPACS.
If you have adaptive medical equipment that is no longer needed, we would love to either add it to our lending closet or help you find another place where it will be used and appreciated. We try to keep our lending closet well-stocked so we can provide equipment options for individuals and their families, but our main priority is to serve our Colorado Springs special needs community in any way we can. In the past, we have donated extra equipment to special needs programs at local schools and cerebral palsy clinics.
If you have questions about equipment donations or would like to schedule a drop off, please visit our contact page.
Thank you to the generosity of the family of Jaclyn Marie Williams for their donation in her memory.
